"You're being paranoid, Jonah told himself" (page 169) Jonah was walking into the woods alone following tracers when he thought this. He had just received a message from someone in the future but he didn't know whether or not the message came from a good guy or a bad one. So he was being cautious hoping that if the person was bad (he's convinced that he is) he would come out from behind a tree and scare him, or even worse.
If sure we've all been paranoid before. I usually get paranoid while I'm watching one of my sister's crime shows after she leaves the TV on. though nothing bad ever happens I still get a little paranoid while I'm watching it if no one is home. I'll turn on some light and lock the door during commercials( but I never get up to get the remote and change the channel for some reason...huh I don't think I ever thought of doing that one before) But the thing about being paranoid is that what you scared of never really happens (and if it does than it's not called being paranoid) But don't get me wrong, I do understand why Jonah has the right to be paranoid at this point and I'm sure when you're paranoid you've got your reasons it's just that there is this bible verse ( yes I do read the bible, sorry if you aren't a Christian but last time I checked this was my readers response any way) Psalm 23:4  "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me" So if we are paranoid we shouldn't be because God is with us even when we walk through some pretty scary places. 1. I liked the ending to this Reader's Response a lot. It is intersting to compare books to the Bible, whether you are a christan or not.
Is this only 2 reader's Responses?
