Have you ever done some thing you weren't supposed to for the better of the people you love or perhaps yourself? Well in this book, Andrea tries to change the time travel date from the sixteenth century to just a year before so that she can save her adopted parents from dieing in a car crash. Well instead of doing that she losses the Elucidator (time travel machine) and gets herself and the other 2 main characters stuck in an unknown year to late to save the history of Virginia Dare (a.k.a. Andrea). To add onto her bad luck she finds out that time travel won't even allow her to go back a year to save her parents because she already existed (paradox of the doubles). So right now she is devastated because of the double bad luck that she received and she still has to find the Elucidator, get to the right time, save herself, and save history!
