Readers Response & Vocabulary

Vocabulary-bivouac-a usually temporary encampment; also, to encamp.
Readers Response 5min. Is the glass 1/2 full or 1/2 empty.
here are the most common views
Optimist- the glass is 1/2 full
Pessimist- the glass is 1/2 empty
Engineer- the glass is twice as big as it needs to be
realist- he drinks it OR the glass contains half the required amount of liquid for it to overflow
psychiatrist- what did your mother say about the glass?
philosopher- if the glass was in the forest and no one was there to see it, would it be half anything?
physicist- the volume of this cylinder is divided into two equal parts; one a colorless, odorless liquid, the other a colorless, odorless gas. Thus the cylinder is neither full nor empty. Rather, each half of the cylinder is full, one with a gas, one with a liquid.
Government-the glass is fuller than if the opposition party were in power
Opposition- it is irrelevant because the present administration has changed the way such volume statistics are collected
Christians- Holds their half-full cup up to God and ask Him to fill it!
I personally agree with the Christian perspective on it a lot more than any other. with God all things are possibly he can change even a completely empty cup into a full one, because that's how much he loves you! he can give you a new perspective on life so if you were a pessimist you are now an optimist because he wants you to see what he's done for you, not what you wish he did instead. before i did the research and found the Christian answer i thought that the engineer or the optimist answers were the best, but once i found the christian one i knew that this was the perspective i want to have on the glass. WITH GOD THE GLASS IS COMPLETELY FULL!!!!!! Please comment with your perspective of the glass and feel free to post a completely original answer or one already listed, Kayla
