So i looked up truisms for kids on Google trying to find a good readers response topic. i found this website with a whole bunch of funny truisms, so i picked my favorite. here it is.
" 2. Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but you
still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs."
I thought this was hilarious on completely true- except for one thing. Plastic slinkies these days won't fall down the stairs like they are supposed to. old-fashion ones used to be metal and they would fall down the stair, but using plastic to make slinkies cheaper and more colorful and be able to make into other shapes(like stars) ended up with effect that they get really tangled up and THEY WON'T FALL DOWN THE STAIRS!!!!!!!
but this truisms does have some truth to it though (think about that sentence for a second and see if it makes sense, please comment your thoughts!) i remember this one time when i was really little and me and my sisters shoved my younger older sister into a big blue bin and shoved her down the stairs( no sisters were harmed during the making of our stupidity!). me and my oldest older sister were laughing as she rolled over, over and over again. when she came to a stop at the bottom at the bottom, she came our and said that she really couldn't tell that she was spinning because she was packed into the bin so tightly. (we are still not sure whether this is true of if her brain was just so confused that her brain made her sub-cautious of the event) either way i do believe that this saying is true as long as you have a metal, older style of the slinky.
