827. Those who ignore the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them
I believe that this is one of the major reasons why we have a history class because if we know our past we can better control our future. If no one new about the Holocaust chances are that it would probably happen again, but it hasn't because we new how bad that turned out. Also if we ignore the lesson of civil rights we will end up mistreating people again. I'm sure there are many other lessons to learn from history, we just have to listen, cause if we don't we are surly going to repeat the tragic events, or perhaps not repeat the good events. Either way we should most defiantly listen and pay attention to our history lessons and teachers, for this is where the true knowledge is taught.
