Readers Response

To Maintain A Healthy Level Of Sanity
1. At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses and point a blow dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.
2. Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.
3.Every time someone asks you to do something ask if they want fries with that.
4.Skip down the hall rather than walk and see how many looks you get.
5.Order a diet water whenever you go out to eat with a serious face.
6.Specify that your drive through order is to go.
7.Five days in advance tell your friends you cant go to their party because you have a headache.
8.When the money comes out at the ATM yell "I WON, I WON!"
9.When you are coming out of the zoo, start running to the parking lot yelling "Run for your lives! Their loose!
10.Tell your children at dinner, "Due to economy, we are going to have to let one of you go."
Sometimes I wounder what people would think if I did one of these, but then I realize that they would think I was very stupid. One time I was with Anne-Marie and she wanted to practice her fantasy make-up so we both did it on each other. We were trying to come up with something to do next when she suggested that we go skipping down the street, with the make up still on, and see what faces we would get from people. I said no but now I wonder what people would have done if they did see me. I think it would have been funny, and no I some what regret no doing it. live you life like you were dying you don't know when you might, Kayla

Molly, the amazing pony, 5 min.
I couldn't find a good article to write my readers responses on, so I decided to go through all of my old e-mails instead and this is what I found
MOLLY THE AMAZING PONY
This horse is a trooper for sure
Meet Molly. She's a gray speckled pony who was abandoned by her owners when Katrina hit southern Louisiana, USA . She spent weeks on her own before finally being rescued and taken to a farm where abandoned animals were stockpiled. While there, she was attacked by a pit bull terrier, and almost died. Her gnawed right front leg became infected and her vet went to LSU for help. But LSU was overwhelmed, and this pony was a welfare case. You know how that goes.

But after surgeon Rustin Moore met Molly, he changed his mind. He saw how the pony was careful to lie down on different sides so she didn't seem to get sores, and how she allowed people to handle her. She protected her injured leg. She constantly shifted her weight, and didn't overload her good leg. She was a smart pony with a serious survival ethic.

Moore agreed to remove her leg below the knee and a temporary artificial limb was built. Molly walked out of the clinic and her story really begins there.

"This was the right horse and the right owner," Moore insists.
Molly happened to be a one-in-a-million patient. She's tough as nails, but sweet, and she was willing to cope with pain. She made it obvious she understood (that) she was in trouble. The other important factor, according to Moore , is having a truly committed and compliant owner who is dedicated to providing the daily care required over the lifetime of the horse.

Molly's story turns into a parable for life in post-Katrina Louisiana . The little pony gained weight, her mane felt a comb. A human prosthesis designer built her a leg.

The prosthetic has given Molly a whole new life, Allison Barca DVM, Molly's regular vet, reports.
And she asks for it! She will put her little limb out, and come to you and let you know that she wants you to put it on. Sometimes she wants you to take it off too." And sometimes, Molly gets away from Barca. "It can be pretty bad when you can't catch a three-legged horse", she laughs.

Most important of all, Molly has a job now. Kay, the rescue farm owner, started taking Molly to shelters, hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers. Anywhere she thought that people needed hope. Wherever Molly went, she showed people her pluck. She inspired people. And she had a good time doing it.

"It's obvious to me that Molly had a bigger role to play in life", Moore said, "She survived the hurricane, she survived a horrible injury, and now she is giving hope to others."
"She's not back to normal," Barca concluded, "but she's going to be better. To me, she could be a symbol for New Orleans itself."
This is Molly's most recent prosthesis. The bottom photo shows the ground surface that she stands on, which has a smiley face embossed in it. Wherever Molly goes, she leaves a smiley hoof print behind!

This horse is amazing, the fact that she can recover from a hurricane, a injury, a surgery, and still be able to help people in need, is truly amazing. What if people could use their pain, and use it to help others. This world would be a much better place if we did. Instead we are all sad about the bad things that are happening in our life, ignoring others, and making their life miserable, too, and then the cycle would just repeat it's self over and over again until someone like Molly came and stopped it. We all need a Molly in our life, so why not be that person? Because we are stuck in the cycle?!? It's time to get out of that cycle and become a Molly to help those in need! Leave the smiley footprint on those around you, they, too, might be inspired to go out and make a difference, Kayla

This video touches my heart every time. My grandmother sent this to me this morning, and I love it! Logan has just been visited by God. It's so sad but he didn't see it as sad, he's saw it as an opportunity to tell the world. He calf is sick and he has the courage to put it down. because it is better that way. He asks God "Why?" and god replies that he lost his son, too. God understands how Logan is feeling, and God can understand how we feel every time anything happens to us. Whether good or bad, God understands how you feel. Whether you want to cry out to him or praise him, God understands how you feel. He loves you, he forgives you, and he understands you, how much better could our God get? Logan is a blessed kid for having God speak to him at such a young age. Logan is an amazing kid for calling this radio station to tell his story to so many. Imagine how many people's life's were changed because of this one courageous kid.

Difference- a significant change in or effect on a situation
Readers Response 5 min. Starfish Poem

THE STARFISH POEM
Once upon a time there was a wise man
who used to go to the ocean to do his writing.
He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day he was walking along the shore.
As he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer.

He smiled to himself to think of someone who would
dance to the day. So he began to walk faster to catch up.

As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man
and the young man wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore,
picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.

As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?"
The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean."

"The wise man then asked, "Why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?"

"The sun is up and the tide is going out. And if I don't throw them in they'll die."

"But, young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach
and starfish all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!"

The young man listened politely. Then bent down, picked up another starfish
and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves and said-
"It made a difference for that one."

Yet again i first saw this poem in my grandmother's bathroom, and have loved it ever since. this also relates to the Leander High School suicide. if someone would have tried to make a difference in that girls life, she might still be alive. If we would go out and tell people about Christ, then it could also save their life. Of all the things we post on Facebook or Blogger, why can't one be about Christ? Just one and it could change someone's life forever. Just ONE POST could save a life, or even just make someone's day a lot better. One thing that we do can change someone's life, hopefully for the best. I challenge you to post something on Facebook or on you blog about God that can change someone's like. Whether you use one of my posts as an inspiration or use your own, I CHALLENGE YOU TO POST TO CHANGE SOMEONE'S LIFE, Kayla

Prayer- a formula or sequence of words used in or appointed for praying
Readers Response 5 min. Footprint Prayer
Footprints Prayer
Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream...
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
One belonged to me, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before us,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
There was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life
This really bothered me, and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
You would walk with me all the way;
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,
There is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why in times when I
needed you the most, you should leave me.
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious
child. I love you, and I would never,
never leave you during your times of
trial and suffering.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."

I love this prayer. It is actually probably still in my grandmothers bathroom, where I first saw it.
This prayer is basically saying that when ever we don't think that God is with us he is. Whether he is right beside you the whole time, picking you up, or helping you get up, he will always be there with you. God loves you too much to leave you by yourself when you need him the most. So he will always be with you to help you get through your pain and suffering.
It makes me think what would have happened to the 15- year old Leander high school girl if she would have read this before she committed suicide. I think she probably wouldn't have committed suicide if she would have been told  that no matter what, God would still be with her. If someone would have told her, she might still be alive today. I wonder how many people's lives would be saved if they knew that God is with them no matter what and that he will help and carry you through the hardest times of your life. Kayla

Readers Response http://www.angelfire.com/journal/doni/Truisms.html
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.
I believe that this truisms is 100% right, no matter what. this truisms is saying that it is better to study and get a good grade than it is to cheat and get a good grade. if you do the work than you become smarter and learn new things, but if you cheat you will eventually get caught and get a zero. you gain nothing from cheating, but you gain intelligence, knowledge, courage, and pride if you actually do the work and get a good grade. you should never cheat because you will just keep on cheating through out school, but when you try to apply for collage you can't cheat off of that. so it is better to study hard than it is to cheat so and this truism is very true to me.

Readers Response and Vocabulary

Vocabulary- Laminin-a glycoprotein that is a component of connective tissue basement membrane and that promotes cell adhesion
This video is truly amazing but I'm hoping that you can accept watching an amazing Youtube video as "Reading"  Mrs. Green
This is a video about Louie Giglio Talking about Laminin.
Here are some picture if you don't want to watch this amazing, touching, breath taking, video even though i highly recommend it.

Laminin is a cell adhesion that holds EVERYTHING in the human body together, "it is the glue of our body" and it is in the PERFECT shape of a CROSS
Here is a bible verse mentioned by Louie Giglio during this video :"16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." Paul wrote these words in Colossians 1 : 16 & 17. I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't writing this just after he saw Laminin in a microscope or on Google Images. I think it was 100% God that told him to write this, with God knowing that we would one day see what this verse really meant in the human body. This is not just a coincidence that the on molecule that holds together the whole body, is shaped like a perfect cross. Laminin is god in our bodies holding us together. I hope you took the time to watch the video and read my words that I had to type twice (I accidentally refreshed the page without saving this) for you, because I think it is worth the time. P.S. I hope that watching a video counts as a Readers Response ;) Kayla
