Readers Response/ Vocabulary
Counter-intuitive: in order to do something you have to start of doing the opposite-you go backwards before you go forwards.
Quizzically: puzzled confused
Aerodynamically: the study of when forces are applied to an object, like a body, that passes through the air
Ice Princess Scholastic 27-62 30 minutes
So instead of doing the Reader's Response to the book I am currently reading I decided to leave my book in the desk of Mrs.Green's classroom, even though we didn't even have time to read today. I almost left it in the locker thinking that Mrs. Green said that we would not be needing them but I wasn't 100% sure so I decided to bring it thinking "What could possibly go wrong?" Well apparently the fact that I had to leave the book, that left me wanting to read more (which rarely ever happens!), in a desk, where I couldn't get to it, was went wrong. Don't you just hate it when that happens? When you work hard to try to do something right but instead you worst off then when you started. Kinda like yesterdays post on the book Sabotaged, it's like the opposite off counter-intuitive, you go one step forward only to go two steps back.
Just got yelled at to stop typing and eat dinner but during dinner another example showed up. We saw the commercial about Gieco and the woodchucks then my family and I started having a competition to see who would say "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" the fastest without messing up. My sister started saying it kinda slow and messed up, so then I tried to show off by saying it really fast but messed up in the last few words. I took a step forward but then was just shoved two steps back. The same thing happened in the book I was reading. This girl is ice skating when the Zamboni was cleaning the ice. The driver (her age and she wanted to impress) yelled at her, startled she fell on her butt and couldn't get up but instead just kept on falling on her butt. She tried to impress him, taking one step forward, but instead fell on her butt, there for taking two steps back.
Those are about all of the examples I can think of right now so I am finished hope you enjoyed reading and maybe had a few laughs, Kayla

Moving
So as the people who are suppose to be reading this you know where I live. But you may not know that i am moving. This is not a rumor this is true (saddening isn't it). So in about 5 months i will be moving. This means that i will be forced to say goodbye in 4 months. We will probably move into a single story house, will very small bedrooms but a small barn in the back with 2 stalls, 5 acres of land with some horse trails behind it. My room will look the one i have now, but probably smaller. We will own some dairy cows (raw milk! YUM!) and hopefully eventually some horses but not likely ;( I will keep up with this blog and my e-mail in Indiana so feel free to keep commenting. I just won't see you often, again ;( See you all soon, Kayla (pics to come, as soon as i figure out how ;)

Readers Response
Sabotaged 35 min. Haddix Page 1-33
Don't you just hate it when you want to say something to help another person but if you say it then you put them worse off then when they started? Well in the book Sabotage, this is how Jonah feels when his friend goes running into the forest of a unknown time and if some one sees her she could screw up every thing even if whether or not they can go back to their own time again! "if they'd damaged Virginia Dare's time period, no matter how well they saved Andrea, they could still be stranded here for days. Weeks. Months. Years. Forever, Jonah thought."(Page 32) It's like when you are told not to talk but the person next to you has there elbow in your side and you REALLY want to tell them but if you talk then you get a detention. i guess it's also like a Catch 22. i really want to keep reading but it's really late so this is the end for today.
